Unless you were driving a vintage model, of course. Sunday marked the 19th Annual Shades of the Past Car Show and it was a big hit, with car lovers coming from across the province to showcase their models and to see some other classics. Just about every generation of cars, trucks, motorcycles and even a school bus were on display for everyone to see and enjoy. The smiles beaming off the faces of the owners showed how excited they were to be at the show and how proud they are of their vehicles. "I've had the car since 1999, just fi nished it last year. It's a 70 RT Chal- lenger, numbers matching car, real two-tone paint, one of only 125 made in that year. Complete restoration by myself," said Eugene Winnicki. Everyone has diff erent reasons for wanting to take on a big project such as restoring an old car. "I drove one when I was a kid ... That's a real rewarding feeling," added Winnicki.
